This piece, with its rich fields of color intersecting at unadorned boundaries, pays homage to “A Dictionary of Color Combinations” by Sanzo Wada, first published in the 1930s.

This is definitely the silliest shelf experiment in the series. Also one where the shredded paper is most on display. It was a lighning bolt of an idea that struck while coating another piece with paper clay and being reminded of icing a cake.
